Here’s our top Schoolies accommodation picks for the Gold Coast, Byron Bay and Airlie Beach (that won’t break the bank)

So here are our favourite places to stay based on what you need for the perfect schoolies week and where we think you would have the most fun.
THE GOLD COAST
Opposite the beach and only 300m from cavil the Chateau beachside is the perfect location for your schoolies week. From only $650 per person for the week this 4 star gem boasts modern interiors, stunning ocean views and a luxurious outdoor pool. With free breakfast (for bookings made before March 31st), free Wi-Fi, a games room and an onsite restaurant for those nights you’re feeling a little too fragile to leave the hotel - what more could you want!
Opposite the beach and 700m to cavil so you are far enough away to catch a break but still only a few minutes stroll away. This high rise provided panoramic views of the ocean and surfers paradise so you can watch the madness that is schoolies unfold beneath you. The Beach Hotel is definite favourite among our schoolies accommodation as not only are the rooms themselves great but the Beach Hotel itself is the ultimate hangout spot for Byron Schoolies. With live music on the beachfront and stellar meals at a fraction of the cost where would you rather be? From $1348 per person for the week you get to stay in the prime position for the week of your life, opposite the beach and on the main street. And just wait until you see the pool! Byron Beach Resort
This Byron resort is opposite the beach and 1800m from the action, close enough that it’s easy to get to and far enough away to catch some Zz’s. Oh and did we mention the FREE shuttle bus that will drive you to said action? Yep! You will get to stay in the cutest little blue dorms and the kitchen is communal but that’s all part of the fun! Bond with loads of other Schoolies as you cook together and share your war stories, otherwise there’s always the onsite treehouse café! But wait we haven’t told you the best part... it’s available from only $470 per person for the whole week! Winning.
Whitsundays Vista Resort
The Whitsundays Vista, where do we even begin? Relax in your in room spa and brace yourself for the week ahead. Float around in the tropical pool as you gaze out to the Coral Sea and recover from the previous night’s antics. In such a relaxed environment it will be hard to believe it’s only 700m from the main street. From $743 per person for the week there will be plenty of spending money left over to explore the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands. Sound a little too adventurous for you? Then take a stroll to the beach, it’s only 100m away after all.
These beautiful Balinese inspired apartments are the perfect place to call home for your week away. Blue Horizon in Airlie is only 100m from the beach and 700m from the hustle and bustle that is Schoolies. If you can drag yourself away from the luxurious room and all its features, the pristine pool or the outdoor BBQ’s with your newfound friend’s then thrill seeking adventures are only minutes away.
