Before you start your application, please read through the below information to ensure you fully understand the roles available & responsibilities of our Fiji/Vanuatu Crew.
THE FIJI/VANUATU CREW EXPERIENCE:
- The Schoolies Fiji/Vanu Crew is a non-paid volunteer style role but includes return flights to Fiji/Vanu, any transfers required whilst in Fiji/Vanu, accommodation, Schoolies.com uniform, travel insurance & all meals. Staff discounts on food & beverages is also available outside of meal times.
- While this experience is an incredible opportunity to work in a beautiful destination and be part of something truly memorable, it's important to know that it also comes with hard work and responsibility. Youβll need to be proactive, approachable, and ready to step up when needed. Flexibility is key, things can change quickly, and you'll need to roll with it!
- You will need to have a valid passport (this must have 6 months validity from date of return back to Australia).
- You will need to attain your CPR & First aid certificate, AND volunteer Working With Children Check (Free) prior to the trip.
- All destination crew must be 21+ at time of travel (November - December 2025).
- We favour applicants who are able to attend at least 2 weeks of the Fiji trips (22nd November - 10th December 2025).
- To attend Vanutau you would need to be availabe for the full trip (24th of November - 1st of December).
- Schoolies Fiji/Vanu Crew are required to attend a staff training day on the Gold Coast which will take place before Schoolies (Date TBC).
SCHOOLIES FIJI/VANU CREW ROLES:
Day Time Crew: Responsible for the operation, setting up and packing down of all day time activities and events. You will create energy and maintain a fun & positive vibe to enhance all Schoolies day time experiences and ensure large group involvement. You will also be the main support for all Schoolies during your shift.Β
Night Time Crew: Responsible for the operation, setting up and packing down of all night time activities and events. You will create energy and maintain a fun & positive vibe to enhance all Schoolies night time experiences and ensure large group involvement. You will ensure safety and security during the event with assistance from resort security. You will also be the main support for all Schoolies during your shift.
Please note: You will be doing a mix of both Day Time Crew shifts as well as Night Time Crew shifts.
Medical Nurse: You will support any ill or injured Schoolie receiving medical assistance from medical staff at the venue. You will not administer any medical care however you will be responsible for ensuring all Schoolies are comfortable and supported through their treatment, while recording detailed treatment logs. Experience is required for this role, a qualification is highly desireable.
Lifeguard: You responsibilities will be the same as the Day Time Crew, see above. You would be spending your shift situated at the main pools, qualitications are required for this position. Please note, lifeguard positions are preferred for the Vanuatu trips over Fiji.
Photographer/Videographer: Responsible for all content creation during Schoolies in Fiji/Vanu. Experience is required for this role, photography & videography experience is highly desireable.
Social Media Coordinator: Responsible for managing and executing all social media content during Schoolies in Fiji/Vanuatu. This includes capturing real-time moments, creating engaging stories and posts, and maintaining a consistent online presence throughout the event. Experience with content creation and social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) is essential. Strong creative skills and a good understanding of social trends are highly desirable.
SCHOOLIES FIJI/VANU CREW APPLICATION PROCESS:
1. The Schoolies Fiji/Vanu Crew Application Process starts with this form.
2. Successful applicants will then be offered a 10 minute informal phone interview.
3. If you are chosen to progress to the next stage, you will be required to attend our Gold Coast office for a formal interview. If you are applying from outside of the Gold Coast/Brisbane area we can arrange a formal Zoom interview as an alternative.
4. Successful applicants will be contacted once decisions have been finalised after all interviews have taken place.
