Fair question. It is because the Whitehaven Beach Day Out comes with it, worth $229 as an add on, and that is the biggest day of the whole trip.

You get the 7 Night Schoolies Festival, the All Age Nightclubs at Boom and Mama Africa, the Pool Party and the Whitehaven Beach Day Out.

Only the 18+ Nightclubs are over-18s.

All Age Nightclubs welcome everyone, 17 and 18 together, at Boom and Mama Africa. The 18+ Nightclubs are for over-18s only, and you will need legal photo ID.

Yes. Every event during the week is all ages, apart from the 18+ Nightclubs, so no getting separated from your friends!

Want to party in the 18+ nightclubs? No worries! No pass is required for the 18+ Nightclubs, just stroll on in and bring your legal ID.

Most events are all ages, but if you are 18 or over and want to use a licensed bar at an event, bring a legal photo ID. The 18+ Nightclubs require legal photo ID for entry.

On the day of your arrival, you will need to collect your wristband from Airlie Beach Foreshore off Airlie Main Street. This wristband will be your entry to the festival for the whole of your Schoolies week.

You must have your Schoolies.com photo ID with you to collect your wristband, this will be provided to you when you check-in to your accommodation.

The wristband office is open for pre-event collection at the following times:

  • Saturday 12pm - Late
  • Sunday 4pm - Late

A free government run bus service will run from 10pm to 12:45am from the Heart Hotel Bus Stop. The Safer Schoolies shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes east and west.
