Child Safety

Our Commitment to Child Safety

Schoolies.com runs events for young people, and plenty of our attendees are under 18. Keeping them safe is our number one priority. We screen our staff and contractors, train them before every event, have clear rules and a named person in place for each event to deal with any problem fast. We do not accept abuse, harassment or bullying of any kind, in person or online.

For Parents and Carers

Keeping your young person safe at all Schoolies.com events

We know handing your teenager a ticket and waving them off takes a bit of trust. Here's what we do, and how to reach us.

What we do at all events:

  • Our staff and contractors are screened and hold valid Blue Cards where required.
  • All personnel with direct contact with under-18s complete a child safety induction before the event.
  • There's a staffed help and welfare point on site, with first aid and security.
  • We do not serve alcohol to minors, and all our venue partners run law-abiding ID checks.
  • There is a quiet space and accessible facilities for anyone who needs them.

The basics

  • Schoolies.com event entry rules:

Entry is restricted to eligible registered Schoolies attendees only – all of whom are of graduate age.

Entry will be refused where age or identity cannot be verified, where an individual is not a registered attendee, or where there are reasonable safety or behavioural concerns.

All 18+ guests must provide valid government-issued photo identification to access alcohol serving zones.

  • Welfare point locations will be detailed approximately 2-weeks in advance of the Event Period, via Travel Documents (applicable to all events).
  • If your young person needs help, they can:

    • Contact Schoolies.com staff (via call and/or live chat – details will be communicated in Travel Documentation)
    • Speak to on-site security or support personnel,
    • Access Red Frogs volunteers,
    • Seek assistance from emergency services.

Parents and students can also contact the Schoolies.com 24-hour support line during the Events Period.

If you have a concern

Talk to us. Our child safety contact is Isobel Wassell (info@schoolies.com).

How to Report a Problem

If anything feels wrong at the event, or you want to raise a concern, tell us. We take every report seriously.

  • At the event: head to the welfare point or talk to any uniformed staff member.
  • Call: our 24-hour support line (contact details will be contained within Travel Documentation / Ticketing communications)
  • Anytime: info@schoolies.com, 07 5572 7627, or book a call with a team member.

Being Part of a Safe Crowd

Look out for each other. We don't accept harassment, bullying or any behaviour that makes someone feel unsafe, in person or online. If you see it or it happens to you, tell a staff member or use any of the options above.
