Main Street Airlie Beach

The Centre of Town!

Head down to Main Street in Airlie Beach to have a browse at along the main shopping hub of the Whitsundays. There are heaps of unique boutiques and shops, cafes and eateries to wander around. There are markets on every Saturday too.

Hydeaway Bay

One of the locals best kept secrets - Hydeaway Bay is a stunning insta-worthy spot!

Hydeaway Bay is on the coast of the Whitsundays and is around a 45 minute drive from the town of Airlie Beach. The trip is worth it! once there you are rewarded with a stunning sandy beach over 1.5 kilometres long. The beach is fringed with shady trees and rocks and the bay is a truly beautiful place to spend your day. There are a handful of eating and drinking spots close by as well, to re-fuel while you're there.

Cedar Creek Falls

Cedar Creek Falls is a favourite among tourists and locals who want to unwind on the weekend. For a shower under the cool waterfall or a dip in the clear water, this place is the perfect option.

Cedar Creek Falls is about half way between Airlie Beach and Proserpine on Saltwater Creek Road. Set in a natural rock amphitheatre, you and your crew can make a day trip here to enjoy spectacular waterfalls surrounding by stunning nature, including majestic white cedar trees. Swim in the the cool, clear waters of the rock pool with fish, turtles, lizards and maybe a few other humans.

Local Beaches

Airlie Beach is home to three main beaches; Cannonvale Beach, Airlie Beach and Boathaven Beach.

Boathaven Beach is situated on the new peninsula known as The Beacons, and boasts 60,000 cubic metres of soft, white sand, a northerly aspect and is the area's first true all-tide beach. Enjoy a day of swimming, sunbathing and lap up the views out the Coral Sea and islands beyond, before popping over to the adjacent marina and shops for a bite to eat or an ice cream along the main street. Situated just three kilometres to the west of Airlie Beach, on a north facing stretch of sand, is Cannonvale Beach. There is a stinger net for safe swimming in the summer months and the wreck of the Whitsunday Magic is a photographers favourite, making for some spectacular sunset photos.

The sandy beach area at one end provides a safe stinger free environment a dip in the water, and the lagoon is surrounded by landscaped gardens for added aesthetic appeal.
